Manhattan North reclaims the Title at Cops and Kids Citywide Championship

The 2017 Cops & Kids Citywide Championships were this past Saturday April 15th and the 8 teams that were crowned borough champions clashed to be named the 2017 Citywide Champions. Bronx entered as the #1 seed and defending champions from last year. The #2 seed was held by Queens North followed by #3 seed Queens South, #4 seed Manhattan North, #5 seed Staten Island, #6 seed Brooklyn North, #7 seed Brooklyn South and #8 see Manhattan South.

                When the dust settled Manhattan North and Brooklyn North were left standing to duke it out in the championship game. Manhattan North coming off a very tough game in the semifinals vs the Bronx, and Brooklyn North defeated Brooklyn South and claimed the title of King of Brooklyn. The game got off to a nice pace, both team had great combination of size and guard play. The game was back and forth with lead changes. Once the second half started that’s when Manhattan North turned up the intensity on defense and the Citywide MVP, Jordan B, caught fire from three point land. The final score was Manhattan North-70,  Brooklyn North-43.
