Three league winners represented the PAL Cops and Kids Citywide Volleyball Championships on Independence Day Eve. The Youth Strategies Division (YSD) team (baby blue) represented the Queens South Division, the Patrol Borough Manhattan North (PBMN) team (gray) represented the Manhattan North Division, and the 52nd Precinct (green) squad represented The Bronx Division, all as dominant winners of their respective divisions.
To determine which teams competed against each other in the semifinals, a simultaneous three-way coin toss was instituted where if two of the three teams' coins landed on the same side (heads or tails), those two teams would play against each other first and the third team would receive a bye to the championship match.
The semifinal match featured Queens South and Manhattan North while The Bronx awaited the winners in the finals. PBMN soundly defeated YSD in two sets (25-14, 25-13) to advance to the finals against a rested 52nd Precinct squad.

In a thrilling, exciting, and highly competitive final match, PBMN defeated 52 PCT in three sets (17-25, 25-23, 15-11) in an epic comeback where PBMN staved off elimination multiple times late in the second set to force a back-and-forth third set. Both teams and coaches admitted they were challenged by the talent, skill level, effort and determination from their opponents, thus producing fireworks of their own in the PAL New South Bronx Center and crowning a new volleyball champion.
