Citywide First Round Player and Cop Of The Week (Queens South vs Manhattan South)

Queens South 73 vs Manhattan South 61

Player of the Week:

Christron Belle (#5 baby blue; pictured right) earns "Player of the Week" honors with a game-high 22 points in a victory for Queens South's 101st Precinct defeating Manhattan South's Community Affairs Bureau team, 73-61. Belle is currently a freshman at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) and a class of 2018 graduate of Frederick Douglass Academy VI High School in Far Rockaway, NY. His favorite athlete is James Harden and favorite team is the Houston Rockets. In his spare time, Belle's favorite music artist to listen to is Lil Baby and favorite movie to watch is Avengers: Endgame.

 

Cop of the Week:

Police Officer Odalis Rodriguez (#7 baby blue; pictured left) earns "Cop of the Week" honors for the third time this season. As a crowd favorite, "The Big O" scored 18 points, including three 3-pointers, to help advance Queens South to the PAL Cops and Kids Basketball Citywide Tournament semifinals. Based in the 60th Precinct, which serves the southernmost point of Brooklyn in Patrol Borough Brooklyn South, PO Rodriguez continues to thank his commanding officer (CO) and executive officer (XO), Inspector Hayward and Captain Isom respectively, for allowing him to spend time to participate and fully embrace the "Cops and Kids" experience in Queens South.
