The Police Athletic League’s (P.A.L.) Sports department along with the New York Yankees provided P.A.L. participants the opportunity to attend N.Y. Yankee games throughout the summer (so far; May 27th, June 26th and July 31st with upcoming dates of August 14th and September 2nd). 100 participants from PAL centers throughout the five boroughs were given a section behind first base to watch the games. For some participants, this was their first time at a Yankee game, and they had the time of their life. This opportunity gave participants a chance to spend some time with other PAL participants from different centers. For one of the games, the centers gave out the tickets to families for the opportunity to go together and spend some quality time. On July 31st's game vs Arizona Diamondbacks, the NYPD NCOs took time out of their day to transport our kids from our Staten Island PAL center, PS 41 and spent the day watching the game together. By far this is an experience these kids would remember for a lifetime.
