The 2019 Play Street summer season came to a close this past Thursday. We would like to say thank you to all staff, participants, partners, and of course each member of the Play Street community. Summer 2019 was an awesome turnout with us servicing over 2,000 participants’. We would also like to acknowledge Good Sports, PFA Paddleball Youth Program and the New York Rangers. Good Sports and the New York Rangers donated gear so community youth can experience an amazing way to play street hockey. PFA also exposed kids to the unique game of paddleball. New York City’s Police Athletic League is the first, largest and finest civilian-run PAL in the country. Founded in 1914, PAL has served New York City’s young people for 97 years. PAL provides recreational, educational, cultural and social activities to over 50,000 boys and girls annually. It is also the city’s largest, independent, nonprofit youth organization.
