Manhattan North reclaims the Title at Cops and Kids Citywide Championship

The 2017 Cops & Kids Citywide Championships were this past Saturday April 15th and the 8 teams that were crowned borough champions clashed to be named the 2017 Citywide Champions. Bronx entered as the #1 seed and defending champions from last year. The storyline was present on Saturday for the 2017 PAL Citywide Championship. Florence E Smith Center (Queens) returned to St Francis College with an extra chip on their shoulders. The Florence E Smith team returned every player from last year’s team that lost in the championship game to a very talented Harlem Center (Manhattan). The 2017 Winter Basketball Classic

The Sports and Recreation Dept would like to thank Detective Francisco P. Rijo of the Patrol Borough Manhattan North for another successful season of Winter Basketball Classic at PS 192. Congratulations to all of the teams that participated and made this season a memorable one. Thank you to all the volunteer officers who took time out to assists in any way that they could as well.

Annual Councilman Cabrera All Star Game

The annual Councilman Fernando Cabrera All Star Game took place at MS 390 last night.  Councilman Cabrera couldn't make the game due to being under the weather but was represented by his son on his behalf. Team MS 390 won both games by the score of 56-38 and 52-47. The first game had a very nice pace to it but the second game had more entertainment value. Team Cabrera was coming off a bad loss in the first game and they came out firing on all cylinders from the start of the second. Team Cabrera had momentum
